Good to know

  • Our intensive courses have 20 lessons of 45 minutes a week. A complete level takes 8 weeks, so in a year you can work through levels A1 to C1 and build a solid foundation for university study or a skilled job in Germany.
  • Courses run in the morning from Monday to Friday, 09:00–12:30, or in the afternoon from Monday to Thursday, 13:00–17:30.
  • You learn all year round in international groups of 10 to 16 people. Teaching keeps strictly to the Common European Framework of Reference and works on reading, listening, writing and, above all, speaking.
  • For thorough exam preparation, we recommend booking a preparation course after the intensive course.
  • To make good progress, you need to be in a course at the right level. That is why we assess you here at the school and may adjust your course level.
  • Your teachers add CASA’s own materials to the textbook to keep lessons up to date, stimulating and interesting. They also correct your written work regularly and give you personal guidance, because we respond to your individual needs.

Learning goals by level

The content of each level follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). For every level we have chosen a suitable textbook, which we supplement throughout with materials we create ourselves.

What happens next

There are three steps between your placement and your first day in class.

  1. 1

    Take the placement test

If you already speak some German, a placement test helps us choose the right course for you. Come and see us in person, or take a free online test and send us your result. Here at the school we take a closer look and find the right course together.

  2. 2

    Booking your course

Tell us the start date you would like and send us your registration.

  3. 3

    Get ready to start

Get ready for your arrival in Bremen. If you still need somewhere to live, we are happy to arrange a room for you.

Google review

I attended all the courses from A1 to C1 at this school and then passed the C1 exam. I think the course content there is adapted to the learners as well as it possibly could be.

Ten years ago I learnt German at the CASA language school from scratch up to C1 level. The lessons were well structured and the teachers very committed.
