Tandem language exchanges
Intercultural exchange is a key to successful language learning, which is why we encourage our language students to get in touch with German Tandem partners.
What is a Tandem?
Within a Tandem language exchange, two language learners with different mother tongues get together for a mutual language exchange. Ideally, Tandem partners meet once or twice a week. Each partner should make sure that both his/her native language and the language he/she wants to learn is being used for an agreed period of time.
For example, Pedro from Spain and Katrin from Germany meet for a coffee. They agree to speak German for 30 minutes, and then they switch to Spanish.
If you are interested in a Tandem language exchange, please ask for further information at the CASA reception.
