Accommodation and Catering

Typical "Bremer Haus"

If required, we can provide accommodation for our students. This accommodation is with German families who live fairly close to the centre and are within easy reach of the school, either on foot or by public transport. Cooking facilities are also available in such accommodation. You can have lunch for approximately EUR 3,- at the university.

All participants should take note that their German hosts will be quite inquisitive about your country, culture and family, so don't forget to bring photos, slides or tapes with you. And last but not least, we recommend you pack sports gear, swimming gear, a windbreaker and a thick sweater.

Living with Germans

You will have a single room and share kitchen and bathroom. Some German families offer breakfast and evening meals for payment.

In Bremen many young people, be they students or full-time employees, live in 2, 3 or 4 bedroom apartments are sometimes willing to let furnished rooms to students on a temporary basis. Bathroom and kitchen facilities are shared. In some cases there is a household budget where money is pooled to buy food etc.
